Very nice app when paired w/Apple Watch

I have tried MacID to perform the tasks and it failed miserably, in the period of one month it only locked/unlocked the Mac laptop every 5-8 attempt. It needed to be reset many times and was just useless.

Summon the Near Lock this week, not a single failed attempt (have had a few issues with the actual distance) but at least the app works very well compared to others. I can accept the less than perfect distance issues, as my iPhones GPS usually has my location as 4-8 houses away. Therefore the Bluetooth not getting the exact distance perfect, I can deal with as long as it works and doesnt cause a lot of grief to actually use it!

This app is not 100% there yet, but Ill say it makes life just a bit more user friendly and it has the cool factor of being able to lock & unlock your Mac without having to dig your iPhone out of your pocket and with the Apple Watch it is just that much easier.

Great product overall, definitely recommended by me, and I love any electronics and of course have many from Apple which I switched to 12 years ago and have quite the Apple ecosystem going on here.

I can rest assured that my Mac is secured once I walk away, as I always rely on the audible sound now from the Near Lock iPhone app (or the confirmation wrist tap from the Apple Watch) to let me know that the Mac is indeed locked down.
