Near Lock App Reviews

I want to share my mac with my colleague at work place, and sometime share my guest at limited time periodically. So, I want the Key share feature for Near Lock. When I want to share my mac to my friend, I can send the key code to allow using it.

It’s been working perfectly for me who was feeling tired of putting password everytime I came back to my desk and unlock the Mac. Reply to my question from Filip was super swift and clear. Strongly recommended.

Near lock worked super well for about an hour for me. Super exciting. Then I started getting issues where my computer randomly locked itself though my phone was right beside it in my pocket. Upping the distance helped little so I turned off the auto locking feature and was still very happy about the auto login feature. That stopped working the next day. Computer couldnät find the phone until I actually opened the app. (Even though Id payed for the background feature.) Not sure if this is Apple bugs or Near Locks fault since Ive had similar issues with Knock and MacID but either way Near Lock does not work reliably and causes me more headache than it brings me benefit.

Worth to install.

now i dont have to lock my computer when i get away from it. near lock does it for me. i can even set a distance.

I can’t understand this app I have install this app my phone and my mac I configure everything its work fine but I don’t want to buy and I uninstall everyhing and unlink my phone from app but my computer continuously lock then I reinstall this app but my computer still continuously lock I hate this app its broke my computer...

Really work with my iPhone, Apple Watch and MacBook.

Works only with one Mac, forgets settings constantly (have to pair it few times a day), control elements dont if they on or off.

Paid for the pro-mode and each time returning to the computer manually unlock it, and manually re-connect the iphone Near Lock app to the computer. If iphone and computer was paired once, with each other, why should I repeat EVERY time this operation manually???

Very buggy still, but great potential if the developer polishes it.

Does not work properly. Set up radius 2 meters around Mac. Grab phone from the desk and laptop blokes!

I just showed Near Lock to my wife and daughter. Making some magic hand gestures (like a David Copperfield). With iPhone in rear pocket…. I’ve never seen such a big amazed eyes! :)))))))))
